Lipsense

I’m writing this post because I found a beauty product that I am obsessed with and want to share it with everyone! Lipsense. Maybe you’ve heard of them. Maybe your neighbor down the street has tried to sell it to you through annoying facebook posts. Maybe you rolled your eyes and ignored her. That happened to me too.

But then one day, my friend Amber posted a boomerang on Instagram of her wiping off her lips and nothing came off. I was intrigued. So then I started actually paying attention to her posts instead of scrolling past them. Then finally one day I had an event coming up where I wanted to be able to wear a lip color, so I decided to just give it a try.

And that was the day I fell in love with Lipsense.

A person’s smile is the first thing I notice when I meet someone. I’ve also started to notice that when girls wear lip color (lipstick, lip gloss, etc), they actually do look more put together.

This picture could have been so much better had I had on any lip color to seal in my smile.

However, I have the type of lips that just cannot keep color on. Within an hour of putting on lipstick or lip gloss, my lips are chapped and I’m biting off the color. Trust me, I’ve tried them all: MAC, Revlon, Covergirl lipstay, but somehow I am still biting off the color and needing to reapply by my second meeting of the day.

And then there’s Lipsense. I promise you, this color will stay on your lips from the time you put it on in the morning, until you’re brushing your teeth at night. It’s smudge-proof, waterproof, kiss-proof. It won’t come off after drinking coffee, it won’t come off after eating thai food for lunch. It won’t come off after five hours of back to back meetings, delayed flights, an hour stuck in traffic. It won’t come off after you kick off your shoes and have a glass of wine. It won’t come off from puppy kisses, lover kisses, happy hours, party busses, baby showers, boat rides, fancy dinners. But it will make your smile standout. All day long.

How it works:

Each color (there are over 3 dozen to choose from) is $25. But you’ll have to get the starter kit ($55) for your first purchase. Starter kits include a color, glossy gloss, and oops remover. The glossy gloss ($20) is necessary as it helps lock in the color and it is super moisturizing. It’s made with shea butter, so it looks super glossy at first, but after a few minutes the gloss will fade and it will just look normal. There are other glosses too, such as a matte gloss and a pearl gloss. The Oops Remover is good to have, as it helps easily take off your lipsense, which is useful in case you accidentally color outside the lines.

To see more pictures of lip colors on other people with different skin tones, go on Instagram and search for the name of the color + lipsense. For example, if you wanted to see more people wearing pink champagne, search for #pinkchampagnelipsense and a ton of pictures will show up!

You can also layer colors. For work, I typically layer a brighter color with a more neutral color.

Becoming a distributor:

A starter kit is $55 but $55 is also all it takes to become a distributor. I decided to sign up to become a distributor mainly for the discount. Like most things, the more you buy, the bigger the discount you can get. Then I started being added to Senegence team Facebook groups, where the uplines on my team would post quick videos teaching us about shipping and invoicing, social media marketing, etc. and I started getting more excited. I had a few friends and family members buy a starter kit from me, and then I started loving the feeling of selling a product I’m passionate about. So here I am – telling you about what I love, and also selling it. If you’re interested in becoming a distributor yourself, then please reach out to me and I’d love to help you get started!

Dist. #401428

In stock colors:

Currently I have tons of pinks, neutrals and reds…but I’m patiently waiting for Senegence to get more browns and berry colors back in stock. Once they’re in I’ll definitely buy more! Let me know if you’re interested in trying out a color or two!
